I occasionally get itchy spots on my scalp and where they are feels quite dry but I don't get any dandruff. Would putting coconut oil on these patches help to moisturise it? I use it everywhere else on my body as a moisturiser so surely it would be ok on my scalp?

I guess it would be more effective to use a shampoo design for dandruff even if you don't have any. They have calming properties and won't make oily your scalp as if you use coconut oil :)
