Workshops and seminars in the Detroit metro area

Does anyone know of some really cool make up workshops or seminars in the Detroit metro area? I've always wanted to attend one to build up on my makeup artistry skills. As an artist I'm always looking to advance and improve my art. I found a few but they all seem really expensive and conducted by only one person and it's usually someone I've never heard of.
