Ok so I've been wearing weaves for about 8-9 months ( I take it out every month or 4-8 weeks to wash my real hair ) my hair is braided in a circle ( braiding method when wearing weaves) and its hard for me to go through the braided hair when I wash it.. If I Do try to wash it , the extension hair mattes.. Can you guys help me find methods to wash my hair without matting it up in the shower?

Oh and I would also like to ask , how can I make my extension hair softer or prevent it from shedding? 😁

I've had sew ins for as long as I can remember. To avoid matting, when you wash your hair, wash in a downwards stroking motion and use your fingertips to try and get into your scalp. Don't ball up the hair and go all over, use downward motions :)! Shedding happens in all hair extensions, no matter what but to reduce it, use a weft sealer, and remember if its human hair be gentle. The more heat and the more you brush the more shedding. Try sleeping in a braid at night so that way when you wake up you won't have to brush as much. In terms of making it softer, I use a deep penetrating argan oil and it works. My hair stays pretty soft. Try masks and leave in conditioners as well!
