I have short thin hair, I have a special occasion coming up and I want to put a hair comb on one side. it doesn't seem to hold. what's the right way of putting it?

Put it in so the design is facing your head, then brush the hair back and pull forward so the design is now the right way up and push to secure (That was explained really poorly I'm sorry but there are a lot of tutorials on YouTube that can provide a visual of what I mean)
I have quite fine, short hair too and when I wore mine I backcombed the part I was putting the comb in and added texturizing spray. I also added a small kirby grip or two to secure then plenty of hairspray (Loreal Elnett is my favourite as it still lets the hair move).
Hope that helps!

What kind of comb is it? For me, the metal ones never seem to hold. I have to use the plastic ones. I'll even get flowers or whatever and glue them to my plastic combs. maybe you could buy some gems and glue them on to make your own special occasion hair comb if you can't find any. Otherwise, a barrette!
