Anyone tried the Not your mothers 'way to grow' shampoo and conditioner? I've curly hair just past my shoulders (last cut in February) and trying to grow it. Just wanted to know people's reviews on the product :)

Yeah shampoo is only meant to clean your hair as long as you aren't putting it all throughout your hair like at the ends, I heard on this video I was watching that if you just shampoo at the roots the shampoo will run down to your ends without you lathering all the hair since it removes your hairs needed natural oils, with that said breakage shouldn't occur much at all but I've never heard of that product let us know how it works for you ((:

I know shampoo won't make my hair grow, it's where it's anti breakage so thought it'd help, and will do if I get it

I'll let you in on a little secret about anti-breakage shampoos...its nothing more than a marketing gimmick. Its word play. If you look at the formula of a moisturizing shampoo compared with a ant-breakage...there are essentially the same. Especially in regards to the first 10 ingredients. To reduce hair breakage one just simply needs to keep the hair well-hydrated/moisturized. I'm not familiar with the brand you're considering but out the gate its very important to pay more attention to the ingredients list. You'll want a product that has all the good stuff at the top with the fillers being at the bottom. If its the opposite then you are really just getting a sub-par product.

If you're wanting a good shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair moisturized and keep from breaking I highly reccomend using it's a 10 products which are also sulfate free as well. I love love love there shampoo and conditioner. They also have so many different types of shampoo, leave in conditioner, and just normal conditioner for all types of hair. They can be a little pricy but so worth it in the end. My hair has never been more healthy since using there products!!
