I'm going to be a high school freshmen this year. I need some in depth tips for makeup. I love wearing makeup but I want to keep the amount appropriate. I usually wear concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, and blush. I would like to know some ways to do a natural eyeshadow look. I have medium length hair. It's moderately curly and very dark brown, almost black. I like the length but I want to do something different other than dye. I have one blind streak in the front but I need to switch it up. I'd say my style is edgy but I also like girly. A very feminine powerful type of edgy and I think girly clothes are very cute. Just some basic ideas would be great. Please send pics.

I meant a blond streak.

I think girly clothing can easily be edged up with some leather shorts or a leather jacket. As for makeup, I would use a matte camel brown in the crease and a darker brown in the outer V.

I'll just share what I do.. I usually wear a full face of makeup. I just even out my skin and use my blush as a kid shade and my bronzer as a crease shade. I then use my mascara and an angled eyeliner brush to creat me a gel/liquid eyeliner effect. Apply a few coats of mascara if you want to add some depth to your lashes. (I'll post a picture of my makeup that I do on a daily basis) For outfits, I have a girly laid back style. I just wear whatever tbh. I recommend picking it out the night before though to save some time in the morning for picking out jewelry or whatever. I have long wavy hair so I put my hair in two French braids the night before to create even more wave and texture, apply dry shampoo and hairspray for texture, and a dry oil to keep my ends nice and healthy. I also like to do a half up and half down look with my bangs or front pieces of hair to create a really girly style. For your hair, I'd recommend loose curls or maybe even straighten your hair sometimes to do something different. You can also do a half up and half down if you want it to be girly. I sometimes even add a bow (;

This is just what I do. You should do whatever makes you comfortable. I am a freshman too btw (: and oops! I forgot to upload the picture of my makeup!

I remember my freshman year I didn't wear makeup, my sophomore year I wore mascara and chap stick lol I didn't start wearing makeup until my senior year, it was foundation to even my skin out, mascara, maybe a blush, liner, and lipstick if I was feeling extra that day. I just basically did my makeup and chose an outfit based on my mood. YouTube is my go to place for tutorials on makeup looks. Might be helpful to go there and look up back to school makeup tutorials and by all means add your own touch to it, also get ideas from pictures on here and Pintrest! As for your hair definitely check out the holy grail (YouTube and Pintrest) I think dying your hair and/or just switching the style often Katelyn's ideas were very cute.

I would say wear as much makeup as you'd like. If you prefer natural looks go with that and if you prefer bolder looks you can probably do winged liner. I'm a sophomore and I wore a full face with extremely bold lips everyday and no one cared, I actually got quite a few compliments. There will always be that one or two people who talk about everyone but I promise high school isn't as judgmental as it seems, so wear your makeup how you like wearing it, I promise no one will chew you out for it. For hair, I agree with Katelyn. As for outfits, I think jeans or a skirt with somewhat form fitting t shirt with a blazer over it would look really nice :)

I'm about to be a junior! If it's fine with you I'm just going to tell you what I did?? Anyways, Freshman year I just wore mascara and that's it. But for sophomore year I switched it up to black eyeliner (just a straight line) and curled my lashes and applied mascara and applied a tinted lip balm. I have dark eye circles from staying up super late (plus they're hereditary) so I put a MAC concealer over it. I'm not sure what else to tell you about the whole full face of makeup because I don't wear that much :/ but as for clothes, I usually wear combat boots and leather jackets bc it's my style (it's edgy in my eyes lol) but honestly, a leather jacket dresses anything up and combat boots make something look edgy. As for your hair, you can straighten it sometimes (make sure to use heat protectant). I use to always cut my hair up to my shoulders all throughout elementary and middle school and for high school I kind just grew it out and I love it. Just experiment basically then you'll figure everything out (: not too sure if I helped but I hope I did ahahahah xx

Oh and Pinterest can really help with your personal style! It kind of helped me figure out like what clothes I liked and whenever I went out shopping I would pick out clothes based in the outfits that I pinned on there.

I'm a sophomore and I can honestly say that no one cares if you're bare faced or cake faced. it's school not a beauty pageant. I wear only concealer and powder mascara and sometimes liner. people start out with lots of makeup and nice outfits at the beginning of the year but within a few months people will give up that time to sleep in a bit longer.
