I would go with jeans and a cute top and comfortable shoes. you'll be doing a lot of walking plus fairs get dirty so nothing white. also wear sunscreen and for your hair do a braid.

I went a few days ago and wore overalls with a cute tee shirt underneath and put my hair in low pigtails. I brought a cross body bag because it makes things 100 times easier and sandals but they were amazingly comfy sandals with like memory foam in them otherwise I'd probably not suggest sandals.

When I went to the fair I just wore my hair down (but I recommend wearing it up in a messy pony tail) then as water proof makeup as I could and minimal (water proof will last longer, let's be honest by the end of this you'll probably have sweated off everything anyway) then I wore Jean shorts, a black v neck (you won't be able to see your sweat marks) and some black high top converse and a sling across small purse (you can zipper it and put it behind you on the rides so you won't have to worry about loosing your stuff) have fun!!

Awe I love county fairs! We don't really do fairs here, in my area we have grilledcheeseapalooza, bunnock tourny, redneck games & goose fest come September. All of which my go to outfits are shorties and a cute plaid button up with the sleeves rolled. My hair is long so I'll either do pig tail buns or piggy braids. Makeup I keep simple with matte bb cream a nude shadow and mascara and a lip conditioner. Shoes I wear my flats. I have kids so I never worry about a purse as I just bring the wagon and a backpack full of stuff. Ah have fun!! The "fair" with rides and games only comes to my area once every 5 years!! Everything else is fun but there's something sweet about a fair!

Raylene - it might be worth the trip to go to Regina or Saskatoon, I know they both get midway fairs (I don't know what it's called there, here its kdays but the ones with the rides and concerts and lots of mini donuts lol) in the summer, when I was in Regina in July they were setting up for it:) and Saskatoon has their Saskatoon berry festival (which did you hear that people in the states are petioning the official name to change because they find it offensive to call them Saskatoon berries?) but Saskatchewan has tons of weird festivals and fairs, though Edmonton has easily double lol. Every week is a new one at least.
I agree with above, I usually go with some denim shorts, a tank top or loose tshirt and a cardigan or flannel tied around my waist. I also don't suggest a ponytail unless it's really low and to the side if you're going on rides. I usually braid mine in a really deep side French braid or ponytail it at my neck on one side, and fish tail braid the end. Wear comfy shoes, usually I wear vans slip on. A cross body bag is really nice, but make sure if you are going to be on rides that it can all zip up. I usually bring a pair of leggings too in case it gets chilly in the evening or if it rains.
Don't forget sunscreen.

Ahh I loved k-days! Isn't it called the ex now? My gramma lives right close so we can watch the fireworks from her front yard :) I usually got to Calgary stampede or the Calgary global fest for the fireworks competition and all the food *drool* I haven't got to any festivals in Saskatoon although it would make more sense since Saskatoon is only three hours versus the 5 to Calgary haha but I hate Saskatoon it's soo dirty and grungy and I can't stand the drivers!! Haha and serious about the berry thing?! Do they no know Saskatoon berries are real berries like all over the place not just Saskatoon or even Saskatchewan for that matter? Haha wow. I'm not a big ride person I'll go on the swings but that's about it. I just love the food! Mmmm and the fireworks and the free concerts lol I'm too cheap to pay park admission plus a concert ticket ;) I personally would love to go to an outdoor music festival for a weekend.
