Okay so about a year or so ago I stopped washing my hair every day and did it another day now I'm doing every 3days but I would love to find a way of only doing it everyday 5 days without feeling gross and using too much dry shampoo any tips?

I just use common talcum powder, just a little rubbed into scalp then comb through, helps me add a day, now trying to extend to 5 days using the same method. Seems to be working.

I find that putting my hair up after the second day gets it out of the way, either a pony tail or bun or whatever I can do with it. It helps me disguise that it's starting to look a bit greasy. The only thing I use is dry shampoo which helps me out a lot. Doing this I could go nearly a week but I wash it every 4/5 days. This might not have helped but I thought I share what I do xD

I wash my hair once a week and honestly you just have to train your hair. As it gets used to you not cleaning it as often it won't produce as much oils.

Same as Jasmine. I also started using shampoo without sulfate and my hair is less dry and much softer.

Try to leave products off your scalp - I notice my hair is less oily after 3-4 days if there are no styling products in it - and if you don't want to use dry shampoo to give it life again - you can try using a setting powder and/or baby powder or you can also try blow drying your roots and teasing your hair a little instead.

In the summer I only washy hair once a week and when I was getting my hair to the point where I could do that without it looking too gross I would leave it in a braid 24/7 but I would take it out and re do it so I didn't have one big dread after I slept :P and that definitely helped! I don't use any dry shampoo anymore :)

I don't use dry shampoo. I usually get in the shower every day, but don't wash my hair. You have to train your hair.

Put you hair up in a messy bun.

Try baking soda instead of talcum powder it's better for your scalp.
