Yes, it is hautecore and it is a matte black lipstick and it is by mac, considering mac is an amazing high end brand I think It'll be a great lipstick.

Melt cosmetics is the best black lipstick I've ever tried. I love kvd and illamasqua but they don't compare at all. I have swatches on my profile of the melt lipsticks, they are easily my favorite lipstick formula ever. They last forever (I've worm them for 24 hours with eating, working out and showering, multiple times lol) they're creamy and stay on the lips matte, but don't dry out the lips.
I'd also recommend staying away from lime crime, or at least reading about all the scandals before deciding whether to support them.

I agree with Alyx! Melt cosmetics is uhhhmazing. I believe the shade is called "Bane" and it's an opaque matte black.

I got my Black from the beauty supply since it's not a color I wear a lot but if you don't want to spend a arm and a leg using a black kohl eyeliner works wonders and has pretty good staying power.

The Mac one isn't really matte or at least not a true matte from what I've seen its a little glossy for my taste.
