I've been thinking about purchasing a mac foundation, I've always been hesitant because I have heard that they tend to break people out. What are your thoughts, which should I try.

Machmaster is my fave. It's great for oily skin, dries matt I would say and blends in nicely. It doesn't break me out, although I suffer from acne. It provides medium build-able coverage! :) Mac has new foundation, the waterproof one.

What's your skin type? What coverage do you want? What's your budget? What finish do you want (I.e - matte, dewy, silk)

After a long sabbatical from MAC foundations due to breaking out in the past from trying out their various formulas I recently took the plunge with their new one...Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof foundation. This also doubles as an undereye concealer and at first I was skeptical of that claim but its definitely true. No need for me to reach for concealer when I use it. It gives a nice satin finish and behaves well with my oily/combo skin. Another plus...the stuff is water resistant and here in hot humid FL that is a huge, huge plus. I just lightly set with a lil powder and I'm good for the day.
