So my hair is purple and has been purple for a year but I purposely do not go swimming or in water as much as possible due to the fact that my hair is purple but I am going on on a cruis a for the first time in a couple days and I need how to make my hair last I know an option is to just not go swimming but since it is part of a cruise and I will be going in salt water and most likely a pool if I do get that kind of water on my hair what should I do to prevent it from coming out because I do obviously enjoy the purple and again I would just like to know what I can do to keep it in longer order to prevent the bleeding or just in general for it not go away.

I recently dyed my hair purple, and I swim at least 3 days a week. I bought redkens color safe shampoo (red bottle) and the joico purple conditioner. make sure you wash your hair as soon as you get out with cold water, and leave the purple conditioner in for as long as possible. alternatively, if you already have color safe conditioner, mix a bit of your dye into it (medium lavender/lilac color) and leave that in.

I use purple shampoo and I mix some of my pravana hair color into my conditioner and it helps keep my color vibrant I also wash my hair in cool water it helps so much... the purple shampoo a lot of people use whhen they are blonde but adding purple to purple does just that adds more purple and when I put the conditioner in I leave it in while I wash my body
