Estee lauder dw is an extremely matte foundation. It is better for those with oily combo skin or full on oily skin. I personally wouldn't wear it if I had dry skin. However, I have a friend who has dry skin and she loves this foundation.
The foundation can be very heavy so use it sparingly and use thin layers to build it up for a nice full covered finish, when removing it make sure you cleanse really well because for me it blocks my pores up and I exfoliate more when using it.

It's not good for dry skin. If you have dry patches you will need to exfoliate and moisturise really well prior to application. Yes it does stay all day! I've worn it for 14 plus hours with minimal touch ups. It looks flawless in my opinion and provides medium to buildable coverage. I would suggest trying a sample first to find your correct shade and see how you like it. The samples they provide will last you a week depending on how much you use though. I really love it for when I'm expecting long days but I don't wear it everyday.
I think it's best applied with a sponge, working on sections of the face at a time. When I used a brush to apply it, it caked around my eyebrows and chin unfortunately.
You will also need to double cleanse when removing it as it's so long wearing using a good cleaning balm or oil will take it off :-)
