I want a setting spray that will really work well for my skin, and keep my makeup from smudging. it tends to get oily throughout the day.

What have you tried and what is your price range? My personal favorite is the KVD lock and load, I think it's 25-30$ I can't remember. I have combo skin and this helps my makeup and also takes away any cakiness. If you're wanting drugstore, I know elf and Loreal both and setting sprays. I've never tried elf but I liked the Loreal one alright.

I think you should try the urban decay setting sprays. They have one called de-slick specifically for oily skin, I know they're pricy (around $30) but you can actually get a sample size for about $10 at Ulta :-)

Kvd lock n load is my HG. it's not drugstore price but I'm pretty sure it's less expensive than the UD ones and imo they UD don't even compare to the KVD.

For a complete oil control sweat inhibitor spray try out a barrier spray like Mehron barrier spray sealer fixative or Cinema secrets Super sealer.Mehron is around $6 and cinema secrets can run from $8 to $12 depending on size. These sprays are waterproof and protective barriers that are extremely good to hold up a face. :)
But if you want a makeup setting spray Kat von D lock N load is great but if it's too high of the price another lower end is Nyx matte finish though not compared to Kat. Just to add nyx will set for a little bit not the same as the barriers fixative sprays. :)
