I say go for it - you can always put the burgundy on top of the pink!
But you will need to bleach the hell out of your hair to get that pastel pink color so make sure you have a lot of good products to care for your hair after!

I say go for pastel pink. You will need to bleach your hair to a pale yellow. Once you get a color you like, add a bit of it to your conditioner for a fresh rinse every time. Of course, minimize the times a week you wash your hair. (Shower caps are lovely.) The oil will be good for your hair after the bleaching process anyway, it will need a break from shampoos for a bit. Rinse with cold water and avoid heat styling products as much as possible.
