So here's the deal. I have had acne for a couple of years and I am working on getting rid of it with a medication I put on my face. I have oily skin because I have acne, but ever since I started using the medication, my face has been getting dry and flaky spots. Yes I know this was going to happen. But my question is, how can I get rid of the dry spots, and not have my face getting even more oily? Tough question but someone must know!
Thanks ladies

I know using an oil for oily skin sounds backwards but I have oily skin and sometimes I get severe dry patches around my mouth & nose and I use castor oil on them. It's really thick so it would only take a little bit, but if you put on a layer at night and let it soak in it makes a huge difference in the morning

You may want to make sure whatever you use doesn't interfere with your medication - so make sure you consult your dermo or doctor before applying anything - but cetaphil is usually a good brand to consider - just try their moisturizing lotion and it should balance out the dry parts without making the oily parts feel too oily - I have combo/oily skin with dry patches from psoriasis and this moisturizer works well for me when my dry patches feel too dry.
