I use a mixture of antibacterial dishwashing soap with a smidge of olive oil. Cheap, gets it sqeeky clean and doesn't dry or damage the brushes. Michelle Phan and makeupgeek have YouTube videos on it.

How much evoo do you guys use? I've read advice to condition brushes with it but wash them after so I'm curious how you incorporate it into washing.

Japonesque brush cleaner is the best imo for quick daily cleaning. when I want to do a deeper clean I wash them with a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner.

I also just started to use baby shampoo. For in between deep cleanings I use Sephora's brush cleaning spray. It sanitizes and removes a bit of product too, obviously not as much as cleaning them with soap and water would do, but it does cut down on the buildup of product.

I've also used some of my purity made simple cleanser on them and its great. It really gets the makeup out of them and is very gentle at the same time. I don't use it to often though because its a bit pricey so I save it for use on my face.

I think using the purity cleanser is a great idea! But pricy, yeah, lol. The other night I cleaned my brushes with my Jonathan sulfate free shampoo, haha!

do not submerge your brushes all the way because the solution will loosen the glue where the bristles are held.
