Look up videos on how to put liquid liner on. Michelle Phan has a really good video on liquid eyeliner for beginners.

I agree video tutorials explain it best - Wayne goss has an easy cat eye video that uses a liquid felt tip pen liner and I find those are the easiest to use.

If you want to do a winged liner I would look up on YouTube spoon eyeliner and you can believe it or not apply it with a spoon! I suck at it too and now I'm getting the hang of it! It may sound silly but it works!! :)

I used to be so bad at winged eyeliner but now it's part of my every day makeup. I agree with everyone above - videos are the easiest way to learn online, I also think that practice really is the key! I used to always try to put eyeliner on, do a rubbish job and have to take it off, but the more I tried the better it looked! a felt tip liner is definitely the easiest way I reckon.

I found this tip looking at vintage magazines but making a dot and connecting it to the rest of the liner makes my liner perfect. Weird place to find makeup tips but if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Practice makes perfect, I used to go home and do it over and over until I got it the way I liked.
Start with making a like that goes out from the inner corner so you can get the kind of angle that you want the wing to go at. And then take the little brush and drag it into the middle part of your eyelid. Then fill it in :-)
