I'm fair skinned but I tan pretty well. I live in a really hot climate and spend a lot of time in the sun so getting some color is inevitable, but I'm noticing that as my skin is tanning I don't feel the need to wear much makeup and am enjoying it. Does anyone have tips on how I can make my tan last longer into the year as school starts, or on good affordable self tanners that will look natural?

I am light skin toned and my skin tans very easily as well. I like to use the Jergens Natuaral Glow Daily Moisturizer to keep my tan lasting. It's only about $10. It has a weird scent to it, but if you put it on at night, by morning, the scent will wear off so you can go about your day without anyone questioning.

It also comes out clean and it is gradual so it may take some time before you see results. (only took me about a week) once you have that tan though, it will stay as long as you keep applying that moisturizer every night.

I personally have never tried self-tanning (although I really want to!) There's an Australian brand that YouTubers rave about, it's called Loving Tan. I'd suggest getting a medium shade for your first time, and I saw that White Fox Boutique has the brand for less money (around $23) Good luck (:

For making your tan last longer use tan extenders. You may need to fork out a bit more money to get a good one but hey you get what you pay for. Also using washes that are sulfate free will be helpful.
Here's a link to a decent article describing what sulfates can do to the skin/hair

Keep your shine exfoliated and the tan will last longer! Mine usually lasts about 6 months though- how long does yours?
