I started getting acne when I was 12. I'm 17 now and it's just gotten worse. I keep doing everything I know possible, I always wash my face, I wash my pillow cases every two or three days , I drink a lot of water and I eat healthy. So what should I do? Are there any skincare products that have brought amazing results for you?

Maybe you should talk to your dermatologist and see how they can help you

Are you on any form of birth control? Also, are you seeing a dermatologist?
Rozberry asked some pertinent questions too.

I have oily skin and for about a year and a half I tried proactive but it didn't really work for me and now I am trying a skin care system called Clarity and it's from a company called Melaleuca. I've been using revlon color stay as my foundation and before that I used trublend by cover girl

Emily w. And Rozberry asked very important questions. If you have tried everything it could be hormonal which birth control can help, or something deeper. Either way, a dermatologist is probably the way to go.

I think it is hormonal acne, I was the same way and it went away. Now at an adult age, I get it during the time of the month so it's definitely a hormonal issue. I keep a pretty minimal skin care with natural products with a tea tree wash (gentle face wash with a drop of tea tree oil) , toner, and a blemish control moisturizer with all natural ingredients. Alcohols will aggravate the skin. I don't use any salicylic acid to treat the acne, and I opt for tea tree oil which works wonders for any active acne.

I had problematic skin when I was a teen and nothing worked as far as topical products. I took 3 full courses of Accutane and had nearly perfect skin for years. My skin started freaking out again 6 mos ago or so. I started seeing a dermatologist who gave me a prescription for spironolactone for hormonal acne. It has been amazing! There are no side effects and my skin is perfect again. No redness or dryness like topical stuff causes either for acne. I actually don't need to use any topical acne products. You might want to look into it.

Go to a dermatologist best bet is they'll put you on accutane if antibiotics don't work for you.

Since you are experiencing a progression, I suspect this may indeed be hormonal. Sarah had some excellent questions regarding birth control and if you currently under a doctor's care for your skin. If you aren't, I'd see what my options were with a reputable derm.

Okay I was kind of thinking that as well. Thanks for all the advice!
