The salon I want to get my hair done at only does keratin treatments has anyone had one of these? How does it compare to Brazilian blow out?

I've had the Keratin treatment done for 2 years, so about every 4-6 months for touch ups.
The biggest difference is that the Keratin is actually left in your hair.
My hair was washed and completely dried, then the product was applied and left on with a cap for about 30 minutes. After my hair was blow dried and flat ironed with the product in it. You're usually asked to not wash your for at least 3 days and you cannot do anything to your hair. You can't put it up in a pony tail or anything that can cause creases or alter the shape, including putting it behind your ear.
Brazalian blow outs are a bit more conveniant, I have not had one done personally but you are able to alter your hair as soon as you leave the salon and you don't leave with any product in it.
Both leave beautiful results, with the Keratin your ends will need a trim, they get dried out from the treatment.

And if you want to decrease volume, Keratin is the way to go. It leaves your hair very pin straight and flat. If you're more of a volume gal.. I would steer clear of it.

@Reny The FDA is looking into that! It was banned from the Keratin but their was still Treatments that contained it.
@Karly Have you spoken to the salon about other treatments? I had a friend of mine reduce a good amount of frizz by doing a treatment called Crystallization ( Hair botox ) it let her keep her natural hair shape but it made it smooth and frizz free for months. I do have a before and after picture of a Salon I go to that shows the results :)

Oh cool can I see the pics? How come you never got a Brazilian blow out? Do you think a stylist can mess it up because I don't know who to go to?

I'm personally not interested in doing any more rounds of chemical treatments to my hair, and I'm sure if your stylist is a professional who recieved appropriate training everything should go smoothly. The Keratin is a very strong treatment so I would make sure to ask how often they do it ( A good salon will only allow 3 treatments done Max and have a ventilator of some form ).
