Hair Dye Help!

I recently stripped my hair of black dye and it became a brown color and the roots have faded to blonde (I dyed it brown and used a protein filler) and now I need to do something with it because it looks terrible. I can't decided if I want to go lighter (I know that there are box that will do that) or do a crazy color (the brown is kinda reddish) help someone!

I say a caramelish blonde! I think it would look super pretty, or maybe highlights?
