No one in my family is big into beauty. My favorite advice would be utilizing a toner. Idk why but it seems like no matter what cleanser or moisturizer I use, so long as I use the same toner my acne prone combination skin stays clear-ish. Also, I wear my heels in smaller sizes so they don't fall off while dancing and I use deodorant in my feet to fend off blisters wonderfully.

My best beauty advice is just to be patient and to practice. I'll see cute looks and sometimes they don't always work out for me. I just have to practice and keep trying to perfect each look I do.

Serums as your main focus in skincare, instead of a moisturisers. Nowadays I find myself using classic moisturiser only as a kind of sealer of moisture that I already put on my face, and my skin has never been better (had mild acne, now they are all gone except the occasional ones I get when its those days in in a month)

Here are the goodies my mom and dad taught me: "pain is beauty" and "makeup should enhance your natural beauty" - the first one I don't really believe anymore - but the second has stuck with me to this day - I believe we are beautiful naturally - just the way we are without any makeup or enhancements and we should embrace our flaws because my best piece of advice is "our flaws are what make us beautiful and unique" so I say embrace them and understand that makeup is a tool for creative expression and can only enhance the beauty that is already there :)

I use a brightening one with acids,to fight acne scars too,its the best thing one can invest skincare wise imho :) Still have some hyperpigmentation left from the deepest scars I got (from a facialist btw,was so angry and am still to this day lol, those are always covered with concealer),but overall health and appearance of my skin are way better since using serums... So be patient Tami,it takes time, but its so worth it imo :)

Sunscreen has been my best anti-aging goodie. Or its at least helping me age gracefully.

Never tug at the delicate eye area, mousturize, get my Green tea on, use all cotton and wear broad spectrum sunscreen. Pretty panties and lipstick cam make most anything better when the blues set in.

Best beauty advice came from someone I met who worked at Sephora and now we are friends. Her words "there is no fix to clear skin; temporary or permanent. It's all trial and error. Once you find what works, you will need to keep that routine until the day you die." Harsh I know, but I owe my clear skin to her. She taught me that there's no 1- or 3-step process. I think people believe that they can have a flawless face full of makeup that took 10-20 steps without having the same steps to skincare.

Best advice that I ever received (although did not listen to that when I should) is not to wear foundation when you are young and when you don't need it. I know some people feel like their skin looks awful without it, but a good concealer and maybe a powder foundation will do the job :)

Tami...the one I'm loving right now that doesn't leave me looking ashy or with a white tint to my skin is Josie Maran Argan Moisturizing SPF47. And then another one is from Loreal...Silky Sheer Face Lotion SPF50. The one from Loreal is reserved for those days when I'm going makeup free and doing some physical activity outside (such as going to the beach).
