So I just subscribed to Ipsy but don't know if I should have subscribed to Birchbox instead? Opinions please?

I have ipsy and I passed over Birchbox because at least one of their items is said to not be beauty always. Honestly, google 'best glam boxes' there are far too many types, so find one that fits you. I love ipsy but I'm considering switching to Allure.

Alexis had a post like this a few weeks back..I will copy and paste what I wrote. :) I would definitely recommend birchbox over ipsy! Ipsy was kinda cool but I kept receiving things I didn't like, like sparkly lipgloss. Birchbox just seems more sophisticated to me... But most importantly their point system is unreal! 50 for any person you subscribe. 10 every time you do a review on one of your samples. So 100 pts is $10 in their shop! I buy all my makeup from there because it's tax free and free shipping (I'm an ace which is like a VIP member) I like to save up points and use them on something big! Got my clarisonic for 70 instead of 99. Their customer service rocks too. They accidentally sent me the wrong clarisonic head so the sent me the correct one for free and j got to keep the other one! One time I had a broken sample in my box so instead or replacing that sample they sent me a whole new box!! After trying both, I will definitely stay w birchbox!

I've had both and I prefer birchbox as well. Like Julie said the makeup you receive in ipsy isn't always that wearable and I found myself not using most of it. I've been very pleased with birchbox as their items are very good brands and high quality. And their point system is way better than ipsys.

Well I'm only 16 so ipsy seemed more directed towards me than birchbox. Since birchbox is more sophisticated.

I have had both subscriptions for over a year each and I say Birchbox is better imo. The point system is amazing compared to Ipsy's and I feel like I receive better brands from Birchbox too.
