Okay so I'm pretty much addicted to self tanning :-P but this weekend I'm going to the beach and I was wondering what I can do to get ready to lay out and what I can do to get the best darkest tan possible any tips or tricks would be so helpful.

Bring a very high spf. Not only does spf protect you form burning but it also gives you a more even tan.

Before self tanning, I would lay out in the sun for a couple of hours without sunscreen, covered in tanning oil. Girl, let me just tell you. Self tanning is a much better option. Over time, sun tanning will damage your skin and make you age faster. I would definitely wear spf to protect your skin. If you really want to tan, tanning oil helped me a lot, but I prefer self tanning. I like to use Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. It comes out as a regular lotion (not tinted) It took me a week and half before seeing dramatic results, but now I just keep applying to keep the color. It has a weird smell so I apply it before I go to bed. It's very nice and will give you a natural nice tan 😊

Thank you so much Sabrina and Katelyn :-) should I super scrub off my self tanner before I lay out or doesn't that matter?

Exfoitation is always a good idea to get rid of dead skin but then you will even more need a high spf to not burn!

You can get a spray tan first and then the real tan at the beach but I agree always wear SPF - but if you want to get tan I would suggest something with SPF 15 and just reapply it every hour or after you get wet - that's usually what works for me or even up to SPF 50 and just reapply after you get wet.
