Vitamins should not be taken without a deficiency, which can only be diagnosed by a doctor. Otherwise, it can lead to deficiencies in other vitamins which can cause acne, sickness and even hospilitisation. There are almost 0 pills which don't have side effects.

There are no magic pills for clear skin and beautiful hair. Its all based on genetics and diet (what you consume on a daily basis). I personally limit my sugar intake, no dairy products, and foods containing Omega 3's are big in diet. I also have a pretty extensive skincare program as well. I seriously believe that if I didn't follow a good diet and skincare program I would look far older than my age of 41.

I agree with both Hannah and Shelley, however I've been taking hair, nail and skin vitamins for years now. It is best to get your nutrients from the things you eat. For example, biotin is in bananas, iron is in seafood and red meat, omega 3 is in fish, vitamin c from oranges and vitamin e from avocado. For me, I never eat enough of each. I know because I have this UP fitness band that is linked to myfitnesspal app that allows me to keep a diary of what I eat and drink each day. I'm always too high in sodium and very low on fiber. The others hardly every reach their goal so I take a supplement. I never go by the directions in the bottle; if it says take three a day then I take one. If it says take once a day, I take it every other day, etc. Good skin comes from a good skincare routine. Healthy, shiny hair comes from your eating habits as well as your products. Don't wash your hair too much or not enough, use a leave in treatment with heat protection, moisturize, sleep on a satin pillowcase, and wear protective styles when you can. As for nails, it's about how well you eat but also how you treat them. I keep a nurturing, non-hardening, base coat on them at all times. I put oil on them after I take showers. Right now I'm using Josie Maran's Argan Oil light. Lastly my nail polish remover doesn't contain acetone.
Hope this was helpful!

I love Philosophy's Purity cleanser and all of LUSH's toner waters. Ole Henriksen's Vitamin C oil is my HG, can't live without it. My favorite mask is also from LUSH called Mask of Magnaminty. My favorite daytime moisturizer is Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47. The simple method I started with my skincare is cleanse, tone, moisturize and protect (SPF). Exfoliating at least once a week with a mask or peel is good also. However, now I'm up to the 10-step Korean Skincare Routine on most days. On other days I use my Clarisonic with Purity, lush toner, Josie Maran Mist, eye cream, serum, dark spot treatment, and lastly moisturize. I believe that facial hairs are hormonal. I'm very hairy and acne prone. My birth control have calmed down both. My friend that went to school for dermatology hates that I shave. She wants me to wax or use cream to remove hairs...even on my legs.
