Just wanted your opinions about high end and drugstore products, I know that the eyeshadows can be a way better quality when its high end but what about everything else like foundation, powder, blushes/contour/highlighter, lipstick, mascara, liquid/pencil/gel liner, etc? If there are differences, what are they? I currently use mostly drugstore makeup for my everyday look, except for Anastasia's dipbrow and my eyeshadows, and was just wondering if my makeup would look better with high end products.

Some drugstore products do not have lasting power but most do, I don't know which since I don't use them but it can look great if you know how to do your makeup well. The reason I cannot for the life of me use any drugstore complexion products is I break out with ALL of them :/ maybe the preservatives they use? I still breakout with some high end like too faced but most I can do like makeup forever, urban decay, bare minerals and hourglass. That's about it. Using high end products don't necessarily make it look better just because it's high end. Some high end gel liners or any eyeliners are horrible, while nyc liquid eyeliner is amazing! So it depends really :)

Hi Gabby some high end can be better when it comes to certain product's but doesn't always ring true especially when you find the mother lead in all the cosmetics that are sold. Here is a guide I think you'll find interesting, it's a list of some mother brand's that are connected to most cosmetics sold everywhere. L'Oréal also owns nyx cosmetics. Indie brands that go under the radar also can produce some product's that are similar or just the same but because they're not stamped with a major company they get swept under the rug. I say have fun trying any cosmetic no matter the cost because finding hidden makeup treasures is a fun way to explore what works for you. Also check out private owned cosmetic companies and manufacturers. :)

I think with skin care and products like foundation or BB cream go high-end. That doesn't mean you have to buy Dior products, just in the Sephora-priced range. For shadows, you definitely can find nice drugstore ones. Try cream shadows- they look higher-quality than powders. For lip gloss, drugstore works fine. I would invest in one or two key lipstick shades, like a classic red and a pink-nude. Cream blush from a drugstore brand works. Just apply everything with a light and careful hand, and it will look classy and pulled-together. Hope this helps! :)

I've personally found hits and misses in both price points. I have a $5 eyeshadow palette from Wet N Wild that is awesome in the pigmentation department and the texture makes it so easy to work with because its not a powdery mess. While I have purchased some Dior & Chanel quads that had me screaming all the way back to the store to make a return because the pigmentation was just horrible. When it comes to foundation I don't play around...I have no problem in dropping money on something $$$. Though I have found some hidden foundation gems in the drugstore. I'm pretty much open to experimentation regardless if its drugstore or highend.

I've found that when it comes to high end vs drugstore, I always kept face products high end. Drug store products don't usually protect your skin.
Eye shadow I go for either, depends on your personal preference.
Brushes, try to keep them in between, as in don't buy dollar store ones or either 50 dollar ones

Eye liner and mascara are the best from drug store
Lippies are neutral, depend on your preference,
