Okay this is a weird problem that I know someone else must have. I LOVE booties, but the problem is I have such fat ankles (cankles if you will) that booties look terrible on me! I love how they look on other girls because they can tuck their jeans into them or leggings or whatever, but my booties just hug my ankles so tightly I feel like I look awkward and horrible! Anyone else feel this way/have a solution/tips??

Wear them with leg warmers; they'll cover the tops. You can also get them stretched at most shoe repair places or dry cleaners that dye/repair shoes..if they are leather/suede.

(btw plus size shops and some retailers sell boots and booties with stretch tops for wide calves and ankles.)

Try Lane Bryant...the tops are cut to separate and are wider...but some regular shoe stores have stretch top styles that might work.
