Hi girlys, fairly new here! First time posting! But so I'm purchasing a new foundation soon but undecided on which to go with. I've heard great things on all three which is why I'm hesitant on which to go with. So I'm asking you guys that have either the kvd lock it tattoo foundation, Mac prolong wear foundation, or Estee Lauder double wear, what you guys think about them over all. Do they cake up much? Do they leave more of a dewy, satin, or matte finish? And I have normal/combination skin. Thanks in advance!! ❤️

I have experience with the Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo and Estée Lauder Double Wear. Both have amazing coverage, are very long lasting, and have a similar matte/demi-matte finish. Cakey foundation is an application issue and not a product issue so if you experience caking with either than you should try a different method of application. I have the Lock It Tattoo now, which I do love, but I think when I'm done with the bottle I have I'll go back to using the Double Wear, which I love very much as well. It's not that I have any issues with the Lock It Tattoo, I just get bored with using the same foundation all the time, so you really can't go wrong with either. I'd suggest getting a sample of both and see which one you like best (:

I have extremely oily skin and the estee lauder double a wear worked really good for me ,it doesn't feel thick or cake up the only problems I had was its kinda dries up fast witch makes it kinda hard to blend but if you work in small sections it works fine I also didn't care for the bottle I prefer a pump but definitely recommend it :)

I have also tried both the KVD Lock It Foundation and Estée Lauder Double Wear. I use them interchangeably. They both have amazing coverage, semi matte finishes, and great staying power. As Alexis said, cakiness is an application issue so let me say that I had a hard time applying the KVD foundation without it getting cakey but now I have found a way of applying it and it looks great!

I have tried and bought all three of these foundations and I really think I love them equally. I think of them, Double Wear is the easiest to work with, but once you get the hang of the other two, they are great as well. Get a sample of each and experiment with them. Personally, I like to switch then up and mix them, sometimes even add Cover FX drops!

I've only tried estee lauder double wear and mac prolong wear (not the waterproof nourishing one, although I'm contemplating getting a sample after hearing Jacqueline's thoughts on it). I love both foundations equally, eldw has slightly better oil control and longevity compared to prolong wear imo at least. Definitely try get samples of all three if you can and have fun experimenting! :-)
