Does anyone know what coconut oil is like? My hair length is just above the boob and i hate it so i wear hair extentions but id love to have my own long hair. So does coconut oil help it grow any quicker?

I've been using coconut oil in my hair for the past two months or do and it works wonders! My hair was short and really dry before and it's now incredible soft and I think that the coconut oil definitely did help it grow faster too. My hair used to be around my collar bones and now it's just above my boob area. My hair grows extremely slowly.. That length change without the oil could have taken 4-7 months.

I have started coconut oil about a month ago. I've been doing it once a week just massaging into scalp & running through the ends leaving on for an hour. Not sure if it makes it grow faster but, I do see a noticeable difference in the shine, softness, and is much smoother. I also like Argan oil products.

Coconut oil is amazing for softening hair, I can't stop touching mine after I've used it! Soft, healthy, strong hair is the key to hair growth, and I've heard so many good things about coconut oil being used to help grow out hair faster, so yes, I think it would help :)

Something I didn't know is to make sure you get the unrefined extra virgin coconut oil. I was using the wrong kind in the beginning and had no idea. Nothing compares to the extra virgin coconut oil :] it smells amazing! Good luck

The reason coconut oil helps hair growth is because you massage it into the roots which helps stimulate blood flow and hair growth, but your hair is always growing but it may be breaking off making it seem like its not getting longer, and the coconut oil makes it break less

@Naomi S. Yep you leave it in for however long then shampoo and condition as normal. I know some people shampoo twice cause it can be tricky to get out. Ive had no problems though :]
