So I'm mixed with black and white. My hair is super curly, ringlet curls. I straighten it because it looks better. I've tried everything to make it flatter, more shiny, and look more like Caucasian hair but nothing works. So I was wondering if anyone knows how I can accomplished this?

Try getting a perm. The perm that makes your hair permanently straight of course). Or you could try working with your curls by adding some product.

I wouldn't really recommended getting a perm because one day you just might want to wear your natural curls. Im mixed too! Black and Mexican my hair is thick and I have really tight curls! whrn I straighten my hair, I use the olive oil leave in conditioner packets, then when im actually straightening my hair I use a heat protectant and a light serum for shine

I just posted a topic similar to this too. My hair wont stay straight, Ive had a straight perm before and regretted it. Im on the lookout for products too so Im following your thread too. Lol.

im mixed with black and white too and i would definitely advise against getting a perm. my hair is very curly/wavy and thick and the perms have messed up my natural curl pattern. what i do is use heat protection and i straighten my hair and wrap it with a silk scarf at night and it works great

I wouldn't get a perm if I was you I am black and native American mix and I have lost some of my curl texture.

Try DevaCurl! It works, trust me I have the same type of hair you have, even though I'm not mixed (Everyone thinks I am!). I bet you have beautiful curls, and DevaCurl helps you curl them beautifuly!

i agree w/ Jacy D aaaalll the way. Mix chicks are really good products. i love what it does to my hair at least. i recommend it for you also
