That's a beautiful color and I think it'd look great, but you need to know that red is the hardest color to upkeep. Coming from a dyed redhead, it's a high maintenance color. Depending on what dye you use, how often you shower and whether or not you take the steps to keep the red in, you could have to redye or touch it up every 2-6 weeks. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week and do a deep conditioning treatment once a week to keep it healthy. I use color safe shampoo and conditioner, I wash and rinse my hair with cold water, I rarely use heat on my hair and if I do I use a heat protectant and I have to redye my hair once a month. So you have to be willing to keep up the color and health of your hair, as well as accept that you will see your lovely color bleed out a little every time you wash it. So if you're willing to deal with the maintenance, I say go for it! :)

I agree with Tessandra, I think if you wanted red you could try a more orange/copper tone as I've found that doesn't fade much at all compared to darker reds

I have dyed my hair red for a few months now and I can say like the rest above depending on when and how many times you wash your hair it will fade. Washing your hair too much when you color it can make it fade faster. For me red isn't really hard to keep up with. I normally have to re-dye my hair every 2-3 months. Just be warned red can stain things like your skin and towels very easily.

The girls are completely correct it definitely can stain and be aware salon coloring fades just as fast if not faster than some box dyes. My friend had her hair dyed red professionally and it was out of her hair in less than a month, so be careful. Good luck , and it looks lovely!

Red is very high maintenance. Also, when you want a color other than red, red is a pain in the ass to get out. I dyed my hair black 5 times after my red and I could still see it coming through the black.

Any other colours I could dye it? I like red but I need other choices.
