Have any of you been on accutane/isotretinion or whatever it's called, What are your experiences of it?

I had a good friend that was on it. it gave him terrible mood swings and would make his lips really really chapped. his skin would also be dry and flaky. however, now that he's off of it, his skin is perfectly smooth. I guess it just depends on how willing you are to get nice skin because the effects while taking it are significant.

My skin is currently really bad despite my foundation doing a good job of covering it it won't improve since its hormonal🙄 so yeah I am willing to do anything for my skin

I took accutane for about 5 months. As far as I know it is only prescribed when all other medications fail to work. Honestly taking it was absolutely horrible. The dryness and sensitivity for me was super bad, I couldn't find a lotion/cream that would help in any way. but, it did clear out my acne and now my skin is better than ever.

Awh bless you you poor thing!! I have tried everything and even if it's worked for a while it just comes back worse and worse, it's got to the point I've lost all self confidence and get so paranoid and obsessed with my skin so I just want it to clear up😅😅 hopefully I will be prescribed it and my skin will clear soon

That's amazing Elizabeth I'm so happy for you!! I have my derm appointment in 36 days so hopefully will be prescribed it then
