Using dry skin cleansers for oily skin will really do nothing. I use a face mask every other 2-4 weeks but sooner if my face really needs it. I also buy a bunch of oil blotting sheets. They really help.

Not really dry skin cleansers just have more moisture. I absolutely love Modere's cleanser for combination skin, it's amazing. I also recommend putting an oil on your face such as Josie Maran argan oil. your skin is oily because it's lacking oil which makes it starts to overproduce oil. adding a light facial oil on your skin should help and also moisturizing will help. people with oily skin think they don't need to moisturize but it's actually the best thing for your skin. check out the body shop's seaweed day cream.

100% agree with Shauna - it won't hurt to use a more moisturizing cleanser and it may even help if you're skin is oily due to overproducing oil from dryness - and jojoba oil is another good oil to use that won't clog pores that mimics the skin's natural oils.

I use the aveeno clear complexion line of face washes and stuff and I noticed my skin become less oily when I use them.

Also oily skin is really like dry skin. It produces more oil because it feels like your skin need more moisture. Producing oil is our skins way of trying to makeup for lost moisture. So by drinking a ton of water and using a lot of rich moisturizers your skin will even out as it realizes it doesn't need to replenish as much moisture.
