I was using MAC shadows for the longest time, but now I want to get a Naked palette but I'm not sure which one to get! I have brown eyes and light skin and usually opt for cooler tones.

I'll say 2.

I suggest Lorac. I own two palettes from UD and the staying power isn't that great even with a primer. I recently got into Lorac and the quality is way better than UD and I like the colors better.

I would suggest the Naked 2 over the 3 for sure,it's one of my all time favorite palettes for sure.
Plus I find that's it more versatile than the 3 and it's more pigmented as well.

I think Kat's shadows are superior to these, but if you have your heart set on a Naked and don't have many brown - based nuetrals/shimmers, then Naked 2.

I think Naked 2. I love all of my Naked palettes! Well minus the Smoky,
but I use the others all the time still!

I have the naked 3 and I'm not that happy with it I don't use it as often as I thought I would. I recommend too faced the chocolate bar palette instead

I like Lorac palettes over urban decay! The naked palettes are kind of chalky in my opinion and not worth all the hype. I work at Ulta and I ALWAYS tell people to buy Lorac. The texture is amazing and all of the colors are very pigmented. Plus it's cheaper and some of the palettes come with a primer. I suggest going to your local Ulta or Sephora and doing some swatches.

I have to disagree with Lorac over Naked. I love Lorac but their shadows have no staying power and always look muddy and creased after 2 or 3 hours on me. UD usually lasts 12-13 hours for me and has less fallout and is for me personally a better product.

I feel like there is a lot of Naked hate and I really don't understand it. I have Kat Von D palettes, the too faced chocolate bar palettes, and Lorac palettes---they're all great. But for me Naked is still superior. They're not as pigmented because they're more a buildable shadow--and for me that makes it easier to work with.

That said, I would go with Naked 2. It's a great palette.

If you really can't decide between the rose gold in the 3 and the more neutral (but still rosey) tones of the 2, w7 pallettes are supposed to be almost exact color dupes for 7 bucks. they are also supposed to be good quality. I am looking forward to trying them just to see how close they are for myself. I'm not saying forget about the urban decay because these exist, but I am saying that it could be a way to test run which one you would use more. You could always look through tutorials or look ideas for each and see which you like more. Personally I like the naked 2 better because I don't wear rosey or pinky colors as much and the 2 has more warm browns and golds to mix in. The naked 3 is pretty much all cool and rosey colors, which might be better if that's what you want.

Just another input on the lorac vs Urban decay, I would agree that the Lorac shadows I've tried are more strongly pigmented and the texture is softer and creamier, it also has way less fallout. the naked palettes have crazy fallout. They are not bad eyeshadow by any measure though. I don't find them to be chalky, and they do build pigment very easily. As far as staying power, I find that both shadows rely heavily on the primer you put under them to make a difference.

I just had a thought inspired by another beauty in one of my threads. If it's an option you can get both a Lorac and a naked palette they go together great.
