What is the best product, either homemade or in the store, would be the best to hydrate my hair? My hair is really thick, long, and dry.

You could use coconut oil as a mask or olive oil depending on your hair type. a hydrating conditioning mask like the 2 step protein and hydration by ion saved my hair. I use a few different oils for when my hair is dry and you just need to make sure alcohol isnt in the ingredients because thats what messed up my hair.

The natural remedy is olive oil, eggs, and honey. I just use a table spoon of olive oil, an egg and a tablespoon of honey. Leave it in for 30 mins or so and then wash it out. It leaves your hair silky and moisturized.
