Heya everyone 🙂
I have kinda hairy arms and I really need to do something about it so stop myself from worrying!
I have become really self conscious about my arms and the hair that's on them.
At school in PE I try and hide them and I don't like having them out at all anymore :((
Should I shave them?
Like get a shaver, foam and shave them or should I wax? I really need help :(
Thanks everyone :)

I think you should try waxing, get it done at a salon mabey...so you won't have to worry about them for a while while with shaving you might end up having to shave them every day which might be too much work.

I disagree with Ban H you don't necessarily have to shave them everyday...I shave mine & their good for a week or so. Paying to wax them is a waste of money my opinion because you'll have to keep returning to get the hairs removed :(

I shave mine and had the same problem as you. I'm thinking of getting laser.

I have very hairy arms, well I should say had. In third grade I was bullied severely for them, and my mom started waxing them for me. I could go weeks without another wax, but it became too expensive, so I began shaving. I have to shave daily, if I don't my arms have thick dark stubble. I recommend waxing as long as you can before starting to shave. I wish I had waited longer.

Waxing is definitely best in terms of not having to deal with it for a while. I used to shave my arms but my hair grows too fast and it was just a pain. I get every area wax, I never shave anymore. Plus the more you get waxed the slower your hair grows so you won't have to come as often. I get my Brazilian done every 6 weeks, if I were to shave it I'd have to do it weekly so that shows what a difference waxing makes. I don't have a set time I get my arms waxed because I work at a spa & I wax my own and just do it when I feel like it & have free time but it's definitely less often than shaving plus it grows back softer

Hm agreed waxing will probaly make it better and won't let your hairs come back for quite a while because you are hm how should is say? Tearing the roots off so it won't come back.

I've been shaving my arms for years now! I only have to shave them about once or twice a month. I also don't have dark hair so that might be why I don't need to do it often but when it grows out it doesn't look funny like I thought it would when I first started doing it. Waxing would also be a good option but for me shaving doesn't bother me since I don't have to do it all the time...

Thanks everyone I really don't know what to do though!
I won't be able to dye them so I can't do that one but thanks anyone to the ladies who suggested it <3

Thank you jess, sorry I didn't mean to make it about me.. I definitely recommend waxing. If I were you I would wait as long as possible until starting to shave :)

What do you do to get rid of the hair on your legs? I would just do the same thing to start with, that should be the easiest and least time consuming. I have always shaved my arms, even though with my legs I'm sometimes waxing or epilating but I don't think I could stand the pain on my arms. I go weeks without shaving them as well, I think I shaved them maybe 3 or 4 weeks ago and looking at them now there is only the slightest hint of stubble but I guess that's different with everyone, if mine grew faster I would most likely wax. good luck with finding a good method for yourself, I think if done at home waxing and shaving are equally fast and cheap, the pain seems to be the main difference to me.

I shave my arms. It's really not a pain. Takes like 2 minutes, tops. Mine last about 1-2 weeks.

I don't think you should worry to much about it. Before when you didn't care about your arms no one else cared about them but I do understand if you want to shave them I think you should just get some shaving cream/conditioner put it on you arms then shave them with a razor I used to do this but I don't anymore

It don't matter if you wax or shave as long as you feel comfortable.

I've waxed mine a few times before, but honestly I just stopped caring! I've got hairy arms and if anyone's got a problem with that, I'll let them deal with it. I also like to brag about how hairy my arms are to my guy friends... things like "my arms are hairier than yours! I win!"

I know this may not help you as much, but this is just how I deal with it, and it's empowering! ;)

If I HAD to choose a hair removal method, I'd go for wax (if laser is not an option). Shaving will do the job too but the hair will be a bit stubbly when it grows back so the choice is yours! :)
