For some reason the past few weeks every time I wear foundation (2-3 times a week) I break out pretty bad. I used to wear foundation almost daily but I've cut back cause after I take it off my skin looks awful. Could it be the foundation? I apply it with my hands but my hands are always cleaned. Also I use Maybelline fit me foundation. Thanks for any help!

Oh and I have been using stuff to try to clear it up but I feel like it'll be getting better then I wear foundation and I'm back to square one.

It is probably that your pores are clogged from the product. Try a steam facial and then a deep-exfoliating scrub to get rid of the dirt and oil in your pores. And I would switch products! Use a lighter, airier foundation, or consider tinted moisturizer! :)

It's probably the foundation that is causing you grief as you made mention that as soon as you stopped using it your skin would clear up. That's your skins way of saying that there is something about the combination of ingredients that is irritating.

I agree with Shelley it is most likely the foundation you're using.

It's probably the foundation. Try double cleansing to get all the makeup off (using an oil based cleanser or even some olive oil to get it off, then using your normal cleanser) I would also switch foundations, in my experience drugstore foundation has always given me grief so would use a higher end foundation. I like Clinique's Acne Solutions Foundation but you could find something at the drugstore that's perfect for you.

I felt like that for a long time especially when I was buying drugstore foundation - the stuff is horrible! I switched to brands that were made for sensitive skin like Clinique, Estée Lauder, dermablend and coverFX and now I only buy high end cause I know for sure they won't break me out - other good brands that worked for me were tarte and MUFE - good top quality brands are the way to go.

Lay off the foundation it could be an allergic skin reaction to the brand. Try a ph balance wash get some facial cleaning pads dap it with purified vinegar dap it on the skin listen it will slightly sting that's ok fan the face cool or add a cold wash cloth. What this does is lifts impurities. Try a skin sensitive foundation. Stay hydrated daily.
