Hello everyone 😊

I've just got a couple questions regarding the application of sunscreen to your face on a daily basis..
- how does it benefit you?
- does it matter what type of sunscreen you use?
- should I apply it in the morning or at night?
- my skin is quite dry, would this matter?

Thank you for your time 💜🙏🏼

Hey Mikaela,
The sun is pretty much the cause of free radical damage on the skin. It causes aging, spots, uneven skin tone, inflammation, irritation, and the best thing you can do is protect your skin with sun protection.
I personally will not go a day without sun protection, as a skin care freak I prefer to take care of my skin as much as I can.

There are two types of sunscreen, chemical and physical, also known as mineral.
Chemical sunscreen works by blocking out harmful rays once they are penetrated in the skin by abdorbing them like a sponge.
Physical sun block layers over atop the skin and blocks out the rays.

Chemical sunscreens usually tend to burn, so most people go for Physical sunscreen as its gentle.
Physical sun block can leave a cast which is why I use one that is tinted so it acts like a sheer foundation.
Usually the more you invest in sun protection the more benefits the formulas carry.
For example, the sunblock I use is by EltaMD and is tinted and contains anti oxidants.
I have dry acne prone skin and I have no issues with this brand. Chemical sunscreens don't usually pair well with acne prone skin types.

I apply my sun screen every morning after my skin care routine and I'll re-apply as needed.
