I wanna use vitamin c serum as well as retinol but is it okay to pair the 2 together?

As long as you don't use them at the same time. Typically, retinols are used at night & they always recommend using a sunscreen during the day, because retinols can make your skin sensitive to the sun. So, you can use the Vitamin C in the morning, with sunscreen over it. Vitamin C"s main function is that it protects your skin from free radicals during the day, like sun & pollution. So, it makes sense to use it in the Am. Although it wouldn't hurt at night either, but NOT when you're using retinols at night.

They can be used together. I use my vitamin c serum first and wait a little while and then apply my retinol. just make sure you apply sunscreen over the top of your retinol for day time use.

Stephanie is 100% correct. Just be sure to follow up with an SPF for daytime that is at least 35 (45 is ideal) or else you will cancel out the awesome benefits of the two which is fighting the free radicals that contribute to sun spots and premature aging (deep fine lines) that will crop up when you hit my age.
