I really want a lipstick that is only available online. My concern is that it will melt sitting on my porch or in my mailbox. Is this a valid concern? What are your experiences with lipstick being mailed? If it helps it will be ordered on the Urban Decay website.

I have had lipstick mailed to me by people who only sell online as a hobby. It always makes it to me safely and intact. If they can do that successfully, I'm sure an actual credible store will be able to no sweat. But that's my experience.

I've ordered lipstick and almost every makeup product online and never had that problem - I've also bought food online and unless it was in a glass jar it usually got to me just fine - it's not really an issue unless the product is coming internationally - then there is a potential for a problem - but usually if it ships domestically it's usually not an issue - and I ordered online a lot while I lived in TN and the summers are hot n humid and I never had a problem.

I live in hot humid south Florida and I've ordered countless lipsticks and makeup products and have never had anything melt or damaged.

I believe that if you received and item in that condition you could exchange it, as well.

I have received lipstick mid summer that sat on the porch and it got soft, but I just threw it in the fridge for a few hours and it was fine.
