I've been dealing with acne for probably three years now and I can't seem to find a system to get it under control. I don't really get breakouts but rather zits under the skin that can't be popped leaving my skin looking blotchy and bumpy. I also have blackheads everywhere on my face; my chin, my cheeks, above my lip, everywhere. What products would you recommend with these skin issues?

Okay, well first off,you should start drinking lots of water. It will give you very hydrated skin and I noticed a change within a week of drinking 8 cups of water a day!

Second off, dairy products cause lots of acne, especially cystic acne so I would try to limit dairy.

for skin care,One of my favorite brands is neutrogena because their products are so gentle on skin. I personally love the Neutrogena naturals cream wash for my breakouts.I also love tea tree oil for my pimples,it's amazing!!

I really like the acne products made by simple. It reduced my acne to hardly anything and leaves my skin feeling amazing. I would also recommend their moisturizer. It moisturizes your fave perfectly without making it feel oily. As someone who deals with very oily skin it definetly helped me.

Have you ever thought of going to see an esthetician? I'm licensed and although I can suggest products it's no where as helpful as a licensed esthetician actually being able to see and feel your skin as well as give you a thorough consultation on product history, lifestyle, etc. Even if you can't afford to keep going you'll gain so much information to guide you in the right direction and home care is very important to maintaining your skins health. Not only will you receive a fabulous facial to jump start your skin but they'll be able to suggest specific products in your price range for you after evaluating your skin. At my spa we have specific treatments people can book, but usually first time clients book a skin care consultation which is blocked off for enough time to not only discuss all your needs but then decide on which facial or other treatments would be best and then we do that treatment. That way you aren't booking a specific treatment that may not actually be beneficial for you. If you decide to go that route you want to definitely do your research on where you're going. Although a thorough consult should cover everything, I often have first time clients write a list of questions and concerns so they don't leave feeling like they forgot anything.

I would go to a dermatologist or esthetics, also don't cut dairy or anything else without going to your doctor and making a plan, cutting it cold turkey can cause a lot of issues, including worse acne.

See a dermatologist and they will recommend some medications. If it's really not going away you might consider accutane? For me it was a miracle drug it cleared my acne up completely
