> Woollen jumpers: You can never go wrong with a oversize jumper and a pair of leggings and skinnies, I live in these in Autumn and Winter. They look great in jewel and earthy tones but I love black and white too. H&M do great jumpers.
> Denim shorts: It might just be me, but I love the whole shorts/tights/boots combo for Autumn, as it means I don't have to give up my beloved shorts just yet!
> Chiffon shirts: I love wearing chiffon shirts under jumpers in the Autumn and Winter, they look very polished :) Zara do some lovely chiffon shirts, I got a brilliant white one last year patterned with elephants!

TIGHTS! I love those sheer tights with opaque patterns throughout, look great under over sized cardigans/sweaters and aren't as plain as leggings. A denim jacket, whether real or fake denim I find that having one of these really helps when you're in an outfit crunch. Also agree with a leather jacket, you can use tights a jacket and a scarf to recycle some of your more summery dresses!
