Lately I've been eyeing the Purple Times Nine and Navy Times Nine palettes from MAC.
I love the look of them but I don't know if I'll use them enough to justify spending $40 each. However another part of me thinks that, since I don't have a large selection of purple and navy eyeshadows, I'll make the effort to make sure they get used.
I just don't know if I should get them or not so any opinions on the X 9 palettes would be greatly appreciated!

I do own a few MAC shadows and I really like them but I don't really use them. Honestly I forget I have them because they're all singles and it's much easier for me to create a look when I'm working from a palette. I really want to get these!

See I've had complete opposite experience :( I feel like the pigmentation in Mac shadows is just mehhhh! I much prefer like KVD or makeup geek!

Julie, I haven't used KVD or MG shadows so I can't really compare them, but I agree, the MAC palettes just look too gorgeous to pass up (:

Mostly swatching in the stores! I had a few - all that glitters and deep truth and I was just underwhelmed! But so many ppl love them I might need to try them again!

Yes ones a frost and the other a Pearl so sometimes you use them wet to get more of a punch to it and sometimes a good base or primer. Like most shadows some need extra help to bring it out but they do look fantastic. :)

Price wise they are a pretty good deal so if you are enjoying the palettes, then yes they are worth it. Personally I didn't think the eyeshadows were as good as the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadows so I returned Burgundy x 9. As for people asking about KVD shadows, don't bother. They are incredibly powdery and there is sooo much fallout it's insane.
