Hey guys I really need your help. I just got a blemish on my nose and I need help making it a lot less noticeable by tuesday morning. I've never had acne so I'm not sure what the best treatment for me is. will aloe help at least take away the redness. I don't want it to scar so I haven't been touching my nose or anything. I put a little spt treatment on it but it hadnt seemed to help. I can't go out and buy anything but I have a couple products at home available to me. please, I need help I'm not asking for a miracle and I know it probably won't go away completely buy tuesday, but I just wanted it to not be as red at the least help!!

I don't think Aloe will help. It's supposed to soothe burns, not make redness go away. It's not going to go away completely by Tuesday most likely. I'd just leave it alone and use a spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Some people recommend using both. Don't try any DIY especially toothpaste! It can irritate the skin and make it worse. I would just put on a concealer to conceal any redness.

Hey! So this happened to me one day before I went on vacation and I really needed it to go away. My secret is using an ice cube and pressing it onto the pimple (with medium pressure) for about 2 minutes, taking a small 5 second break and repeating until the ice cube is gone. It really works! Do it tonight tomorrow morning and then tomorrow night and the redness and swelling will go down so much. Also, like katelyn said, use a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment after you do the ice treatment. You'll be good to go! When covering up the pimple use a green based concealer to cancel out all redness and then cover with a regular concealer. Good luck!!

Whenever I have scars from acne I use Jason's vitamin E oil. Works like a charm! I picked at my acne on my cheek and it made a really bad blemish and I'm on day 2 and its lessened incredibly. I pat it on twice a day though morning and night

Okay, obviously you shouldn't try all of these on one pimple because that will totally irritate it and make it so much more noticeable. I do have something else you can try as well though, which is witch hazel. it brings down the swelling and redness of my zits in a matter of a couple hours. maybe it'll work for you if you try it sometime (:

Anna's ice cube remedy helps a lot, but you could also dunk a cotton ball in warm water and put sea salt on it and hold it to your pimple for two minutes twice a day, and that made my pimple go away within the hour.

If it's still there, a great concealer trick is to add either a green concealer if it's still red, then adding a lighter concealer on the bottom half (where it casts a shadow as well) and just a bit darker foundation on the top half. Blend gently with a BB or finger. What this does is it cancels out the lights and shadows causing the appearance of it being flat. :)

I press an icecube to the pimple for a few seconds like Anna suggested then before bed I do use toothpaste on the pimple and sleep like that. It really reduces redness and doesn't irritate my skin at all!)

Everyone always says don't pop your pimples, but its what I have to do! It goes away faster than if I would have left it there, and it's easier to cover up in the following days. Just pop it, put an ice cube on, wash your face, and put some
Alcohol and spot treatment on it. It should be fine after that

Hey Julie B., ummm you said that you put toothpaste on the skin and sleep with it on, correct?? I wanted to ask if there was a specific brand? like Colgate, pronamel, any specific brand?

Please DO NOT put toothpaste on a pimple! If you were worried about scarring, toothpaste definitely isn't a good choice, nor is it ever for skincare. Toothpaste is far too harsh for skincare; there's a reason that it's for your teeth, not skin lol.
