I buy my coach bags from the coach outlet online. You have to sign up and they alert you when they have a sale. They are by invite only. I've never paid over $125 for any of my coach bags:)

MK has so many cute bags on clearance all the time! Sometimes they have extra discounts too on clearance so I suggest signing up for their emails. Macy's also has similar MK deals.

You can always go to an outlet or factory store.
I personally choose not to, because the bags sold at outlets/factory stores are specifically made for them so it's not really a discount. And I feel like if I am going to spend that much money, I want to get the real deal.

If you wait for the 'season' to end, the price of the bags tend to go down. ( A season is maybe 2 weeks? ) I bought a Special Edition Michael Kors bag for $399 when it was originally almost $900. It's about timing ☺

Tjmaxx and marshals. Also the app poshmark you can buy them off other people who are looking to sell bags. Just search for the brand and anyone selling that brand purse will pop up.

Consignment shops that are exclusive to handbags are another option. I've seen legit LV Speedy bags go for $300-400 and depending on the size they can go for much more new.

There's always a TON of Betsy Johnson, Michael Kors, and some other designers at my local Ross and TJ Maxx stores! I buy my purses from the stores themselves, but if you want a bargain definitely check out the outlets and the website: beyondtherack as they always have sales on nice, authentic handbags.
