Sooo my 1st beauty counter encounter went horrible the lady was nervous obviously I get that , reason well I had doctor appointments all morning so I didnt have no makeup on or my wig (cancer patient) so when she seen me in my bald shiny glory I could tell she was a little hesitant like its cancer lady I'm not contagious and anyways in bald because of the meds not my disease ugh. so moving on she proceeds to testing my skin match with this little machine which says I'm tawny which almost sounds right to me except it may have bin a tad to dark so she proceeded down the line between cools and warms she didnt have no idea if I'm cool or warm so then she decided dusk is my color I was tired by now so in there dark lighting I decided ok maybe so I get home and heck no its soooo pink on me I have a yellow skin tone for sure but my cheeks are always flushed from my chemo so maybe she thought I was that pink man the struggle is real I just want a good foundation grrrr so back I go to dillards today to return this one and maybe get someone else to help me. anyone else experiance this with any makeup counter?

Hahaha no your fine girl I feel ya I have a 15 month old son and oh the looks we get in public I'm tatted up bald as a fish with a pretty wild little boy its priceless the way people gawk I don't care though because no matter what if I step out with my wig on glamour on full they look to people just can't help it but its the rude ones or the hesitant ones that rub me wrong grrrr like sometimes I want to just chase them with an open hand and tell them "it is conatgious" lol but thats the mean kid in me haha.

Aaaw sorry you had a hard time! the whole undertone thing can b so annoying. I don't know how it is were you are from but in the UK, Estee Lauder give you lil tester bottles of foundation. why not ask for shade lighter/darker and maybe similar shade to the one they colour match you, just so you can try yourself. Remember getting a yellowy mac foundation because the assistant was convinced it was the right colour and when I used it, yuk it was sooo baad. xx
