How can I achieve a natural look for flash photography? I'm in 8th grade.

If using a foundation, make sure it doesn't contain any SPF.

You also don't want to use shimmery shadows.

Generally speaking, you usually have to wear MORE makeup for photos, to even have to show up. I would do some trial runs with your makeup to get an idea of how much you need. But when I have to getmy picture done for my driver's license. I always pile on the mascara, make sure there is absolutely no shine on my face except highlighted areas using a powder that is matches my skintone (not a translucent powder) , I'm also very generous with blush & lipgloss. I would stay away from heavy eye shadows and liners. And even though false eyelashes can be very pretty, on some people, depending on their eye shape, can look fake. Again, I would try some looks & take some pics before the actual day.

Here's everything I've piled together for my picture day makeup coming up!
1.) Apply a primer that doesn't have spf because you want to make sure your makeup is still in tact by pictures!
2.) Wear a foundation without spf and you can try using green concealer to cancel out redness and cover it with a nice concealer!
3.) Pile on blush and bronzer because pictures tend to wash you out! (Don't go overboard though or you'll look like a clown!)
4.) Use matte shadows because shimmer will mess with the camera
5.) Apply a very thin line of eyeliner if any at all and don't overdo it around the eyes!
6.) I would steer away from. Falsies for pictures and try a nice lengthening/defining mascara!
7.) Don't wear dark lips or anything assuming it's a school picture day unless you really want too) I prefer a color similar to the color of my natural lips!
8.) Fill in your brows!! You don't want sparse or crazy brows because they frame your face!
Hope you find some use out of some of these tips and have fun! Always try practice shots before picture day!

SPF won't cause anything in your pictures actually (;
for my pictures I did winged liner, foundation, concealer, contour, brows, falsies, mauve lip.
I do a FULL face.
I used a shimmery eyeshadow on my lid and it didn't affect anything.

Flash photography makes it look like you have less makeup on, so brows, lashes, eyeshadow make a tiny bit darker/more defined. matte shadows,

I used only mascara. It's really simple and it looks like you aren't wearing a lot of makeup.
