I want my lip pierced agian but my worl wouldnt allow face piercings, is it possible to take it out for work then put it back in. I really want it, and I don't wanna quit my job either.

Can you cover it with a little square bandaid or some medical tape while you're at work?

Kind of no option..

You're probably just going to have to suck it up and not get the piercing unless you want to quit.

Although, I know of some places allowing them if the pricing is clear or flesh toned but if they're not even allowing it at all then you just can't

It would most likely start to close each time you took it out and hurt pretty bad when you put it back in and repeatedly could possibly result in a keloid forming

Agree with above comment, you don't seem to have any options tbh
But they do have those fake removable lip studs/rings which don't require piercing
Here's a few options from etsy:

Losing your job for a piercing is ridiculous, but that's how life is, so if you really want a piercing, get a fake one

You can get it pierced then put a retainer in it after it heals.
I would still talk to your boss about it.

Honestly I just would not get it. in the long run depending on jobs most don't even allow facial piercings. depends of course. I use to have to cover mine up with a bandaid which in my opinion is just pointless considering I had people ask everyday what happened lol. also I found changing it became a hassle so I just took it out.

I honestly just wouldn't get the piercing if you don't want to quit your job. You can explain it to your boss and try to talk them into allowing it, but if your boss says no, there isn't much more you can do. You can't really take it in and out. I wouldn't get one period because as Megan said, a lot of jobs won't like it and covering it up with a bandaid isn't really worth it in most cases.

If you can't have it at work then no. You'd have to let it heal for 6+ months before it'd heal properly and you'd be able to take it out. Lip piercings can close within minutes too, so really it's not worth it at all. A clear retainer may work with your boss but again, you'd have to have it in for months before you'd be able to change it.

Just don't do it.
If your job doesn't allow it right now and you can't quit, I just wouldn't do it. It's too much of a risk to your job and I wouldn't risk taking it out because it could get infected and it will more than likely close up if you have the piercing out for a while shift, which is then just a waste of your money. Things like this are just unavoidable in life. Especially when it comes to body mods like piercings and tattoos, people still get really funky about it all...,

They have clear lip ring that makes it look like it's not there. So your hole doesn't close up but no one can see it!

There are many ways of covering up a hole. Concealer, fillers, I could go on and on. However, I wouldn't get one to be on the safer side. If it turns out you do want to get one, just do your research before you get it. There's also the option of getting a fake piercing so you can choose when to have it on. When you take it off, there is no sign of it existing.

I agree, I would not get it re-done. You don't really have the option of taking that kind of piercing in and out if it's freshly done. It would be deferent if it's a piercing you've had for a while. The middle of my lip has been pierced for the last 8 years, and I can leave mine out for at least 2 wks at a time. Sometimes I do notice it trying to close up on the inside of my lip but I've always been able to get my 16 gauge ring back in. Have you considered getting your septum done instead? Easiest facial piercing to hide.
