Personally, I don't think it matters at what age you start, as long at you're wearing makeup for yourself. but with that being said, some people may be shocked if they see a ten year old with eyeliner and lipstick. it just depends on your personal preference.

Really I started in 5th grade bc I got bad acne bc I started my period early haha. so my momma let me wear it so really it just depends on when you need it

Personally, I started wearing makeup in like fourth grade (10ish) but I didn't wear it to school, I just wore it on weekends, (tbh it was because only the 'bad girls' seemed to wear mascara and lipstick to school lol) then once I went into middle school, I started wearing makeup to school, but that's just me :)

Well, if your parent (s) are fine with it, I think it's alright. Personally, I think 10 is a little early for like, a full face, but to each their own and I won't judge someone who does choose to. I think a little mascara and some lip gloss is fine. I didn't start wearing mascara/eyeliner until I was 14...then when I turned 17, I stsrted wearing foundation/concealer/blush etc.

I was in a performing arts program starting in 4th grade so I wore makeup only for shows. I didn't actually start wearing makeup regularly until about my senior year of high school.

I started wearing makeup (as in mascara and lipgloss) when I was 12 but that was only on weekends and when I wasn't in school. I started wearing eyeshadow at 13, eyeliner at 14, lipstick at 15 and a full face (ish, I wear tinted moisturiser/foundation , pressed powder, brows, contour, highlight, blusher, concealer, mascara and eyeliner) at 16 but I only wear it on special occasions. I'm now 17 and I wear concealer, powder, mascara and brows as my everyday makeup.

Well it depends if you look younger or older but if you still have that baby look then you probly won't need make up.

My mom always let me play with makeup and wear it for fun for as long as I can remember, but I wasn't allowed to wear makeup as part of my daily routine until I was 12.

I wore stage makeup for my dance competitions starting at age 6 and was only allowed to wear lip gloss and mascara in grade 6. I started wearing eyeshadow and concealer in grade 7, and eyeliner in grade 8. I personally think that younger than grade 6 is too early to wear makeup.

I didn't start until about 10th grade and it was just foundation and lip gloss but that's because I didn't need it before then I never had bad and and my eyelashes are long and thick as is but I think about 8th grade is fine. but to each their own.

To express one's passion I feel makeup can be done at any age- I started at 6. In terms of wearing the makeup out I feel there is a limit on the usage of products for EX: in 6th grade I wore just a lipgloss and mascara, 7th was when I started dramatic wings and blusher, than 8th and so on I began a full face- depends on the person as well as parents but often when the parent forbids something the child rebells so sorta a double edge sword there.

I started wearing makeup when I was 9 but I'm a soon to be makeup artists. But I love makeup. I do anything from a smokey eye to a dramatic winged liner😌😃

I do not think it matters as long as you feel you are ready and your parents feel you are ready. It should be worn for the right reasons, and I don't think that at a young age it should be used as a cover up as I do think that could encourage future self esteem issues. I think it's good for younger girls to encourage the creative side of makeup.
