I have oily skin. Very oily. Also a lot of acne scars with some texture to my skin. I love full coverage (medium buildable is fine too) I tried estee lauder double wear and didnt like it. So now I stuck to choose between these foundations: Nars all day luminous.. Mac nourishing pro long wear (the new one) lancome tiet idol( I think thats how to spell it..its in the long glass bottle) cover fx cream foundation.. Kat von D lock it tattoo.. Help?! Which one will last at least 8 hours (would love to get more wear tho!) and is good for oily skin!! Also, what is your HG setting powder for oily skin?

Kat Von D lock it tattoo has the best coverage I've seen in a foundation so I would recommend that. Also it has a thick matte texture so it works great with oily skin and lasts all day for me!

I have the NARS Sheer Matte foundation & I really liked. it's a medium but buildable coverage & it does work well for oily skin types. you want the Matte version tho, not the luminous one tho. the luminous version is more for people with dry skin.
I would probably go with the Kat Von D foundaton that Gabby suggested. it's definitely for people with oily skin & it is full coverage & fairly thick foundation so it should cover up the acne scars no problem!

@Melissa, seriously?! well that shows you how long it's been since I went to Sephora.. that makes me sad :( I loved that one.
@Naomi, well still! don't go with luminous foundations. they tend to make skin look extra oily. so maybe stay away from NARS, lol.

Otherwise since thats not in your list I do recommend the lancome teint idole. although I still needed to touch up with that. Setting powder I absolutely have been loving is the it cosmetics bye bye pores powder.

I've been LOVING the Nourishing Pro Longwear.
I usually like to use the cooking technique with any fave setting powder for a couple of minutes and OMG this stuff with last SO LONG and I'm someone whose usually quite oily(although not as much as I used to be, used to be my whole face that was super oily, now it's just my t-zone)

I recommend mufe mat velvet.
And let's be real for a min. Nearly impossible for a foundation to have such longevity for person with oily skin. I myself have oily skin and the longest I've gone shine free was probably like 5 hours, at night. During the day I would say 3 hours.
I pair that foundation with hourglass veil primer which is a must if you have oily skin.
Also your skin care may have something to do with it.

Diggie would you recommend the Mufe matte velvet over the new Ultra hd for combo skin? I have normal to dry cheeks and oily t zone.

Hi traci! I would maybe recommend the ultra hd if you have normal to dry. I have oily all over. I find that the ultra hd is not drying either do it wouldn't climb in to your dry patches. I would just use their hydrating primer in places you might need it. That foundation glides on your face and doesn't just sit there. It lend in with your skin for a very natural look. There are people that build the coverage but I don't think that foundation was meant for that really.

Thanks so much, I've been trying to decide between the two forever and you really helped me make up my mind! :)
